For over twenty years, Adopt A Needy Family has provided year-round support to families through initiatives like utility supplements and back-to-school projects, with a special emphasis on aiding families during the Christmas season. Annually, we rely on partners who generously contribute to the welfare of others.

In tribute to our founder Fr. James Hubert's lifelong mission, we are committed to helping families in San Antonio's most impoverished areas. This holiday season, we invite you to support our cause by adopting a family for Christmas or by making a financial donation, which will be used to buy gifts for the families you sponsor. Without Adopt A Needy Family, these families would likely miss out on celebrating the most joyous time of the year.

Families in need are referred by social workers and counselors from schools, churches, and other non-profit organizations. Our staff personally visits each household to ensure they meet our financial criteria and to prevent service duplication with other agencies.

We invite you to join us once more in bringing the Christmas spirit to less fortunate families. We anticipate your involvement in this year's activities and encourage you to participate in our gift-wrapping and delivery event this December at Mount Sacred Heart School, 619 Mount Sacred Heart Rd, San Antonio, TX 78216.

Not every family includes all their needs on their wish lists. We encourage donors to reflect and consider what they would want and need if they found themselves in a similar situation.

The needs of the families we serve are year round and can change in an instant.  The items listed below are a snapshot of what the families we serve ask for:

$10 – 2 athletics balls, 3 books
$50 gets you all of the above.

AANF a proud supporter of Communities in School and the Stuff the Bus Project, last year Communities in Schools collected 24.5 tons of school supplies with a value of nearly $300,000!

Each year schools, doctors offices, businesses, restaurants and individual families join us to assist families in need.  We serve many size families, the estimated cost to help is listed below:

To buy for Small Family 1 – 4 people is estimated to cost $250 per family

To buy for Medium Family 5 – 7 people – $450 per family

To buy for Large Family 7 – 10 people – $750 per family

To buy for Extra Large Family 11+ – $1000+ per family
